AUDITIONS

Do you like to sing? Or know someone who does? The MadHatters are holding auditions for the Fall 2024 semester!

Founded in 1997, the MadHatters are the oldest a cappella group at UW-Madison. We are an all-male, student-managed professional performance group. Here are a few reasons why you should consider joining the MadHatters!

As a member of our tight-knit and friendly group of guys, you will travel regularly to paid shows around Wisconsin and beyond. This academic year's performance slate includes shows in Milwaukee, Adams-Friendship, Mineral Point, Ashwaubenon, Portage, and Nashville, Tennessee!

Our group offers unique performing opportunities, including prestigious locations like the Wisconsin State Capitol, Lambeau Field, and even the White House, where we performed twice for President Obama. As a self-run student organization, we provide career-applicable leadership opportunities, including managing finances, operations, production, social media, and music direction. Many of our members have leveraged this leadership experience to land internships and jobs.

We are self-sufficient on our performance income and do not require semester dues or fundraising. We choose and arrange all our music and learn more than 20 songs each year, making sure you'll never be bored with our setlist. Plus, we offer a free red jacket to all our members!

We sold 900 tickets to our Spring Concert, more than any other a cappella group on campus (by a lot), so the crowds will always be packed and enthusiastic!

Don't miss this incredible opportunity to join our group and become a part of our success story. Audition now and take your first step towards a future filled with unique performing opportunities, leadership experience, and unforgettable memories.
